    2013 SCHOOL BUDGET PREPARATION TOOL KIT

    ALL schools must complete their school budget and submit all required forms to the Finance Department no later than 4:30 pm on Feb. 2, 2012.

    BUDGET PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS (Documents Below)
    Documents in this portlet contain instructions and key steps schools must follow to complete and submit budget materials. Includes the IFAS budget preparation drop-in schedule for school leaders.
    BUDGET PREPARATION - REQUIRED FORMS (Documents Below)
    Two forms are due February 2, 2012. The "School Governance Signature Page" is due in the Budget Office by March 1, 2012 after the district budget review process has been completed. See portlet for further detail.
    BUDGET PREPARATION - ALLOCATIONS/DATA (Documents Below)
    Contains all school allocations including allocations for the school operations budget and all in-school grant-funded budgets. Includes staffing detail of site allocations for ESL/Bilingual, lease revenues, PLAN repayment and reimbursement information.
    BUDGET PREPARATION - BUDGET REFERENCE (Documents Below)
    From FY13 Finance Staff Assignments to the Title I guidelines, this portlet contains  a number of documents schools may find helpful in understanding and/or creating school budgets. Include staffing detail of site allocations for special education, building services and breakfast aide staffing.

    It is the policy of the Milwaukee Public Schools, as required by section 118.13, Wisconsin Statutes, that no person will be denied admission to any public school or be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil services, recreational or other program or activity because of the person�s sex, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability.

    This policy also prohibits discrimination under related federal statutes, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race, color, and national origin), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (disability), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (disability).
