Aesop Substitute System

Starting Monday, October 17, MPS will begin using the Aesop substitute system to receive teacher, school secretary, and handicapped children's assistant (HCA) absence requests and to place substitutes for these positions. Aesop is an automated service that greatly simplifies and streamlines the process of recording and managing absences and finding substitutes.  The Aesop service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed via both internet and phone.

Employees may begin using the system now to make absence requests for absences on or after October 17, and substitutes may begin using the system now to request these assignments.

How do employees and substitutes interact with Aesop?

1. Employees and subs can interact with Aesop on the internet at http://www.aesopeducation.com. Here, employees will be able to enter absences, check your absence schedule, update personal information, and exercise other features such as uploading your lesson plans for substitutes to view online.
2. You can also call the Aesop phone system toll free at 1-800-942-3767.  Simply follow the voice menu to enter and manage absences and access other features.  We recommend that you call in to check the computer recording of your name and title.  To do this, press Option 4 and follow the prompts.
